Clash at Moody Coliseum: SMU Mustangs to Face Tulane Green Wave

As the Southern Methodist University Mustangs prepare to host the Tulane Green Wave at Moody Coliseum, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an exhilarating matchup. The Mustangs have been on a tear recently, and their performance in past games suggests that they will continue their dominant streak.

Tulane Green Wave VS SMU Mustangs

In their last game on December 22 against Murray State Racers, the Mustangs showcased an offensive masterclass by putting up 92 points with a staggering field goal percentage of nearly 60 percent. Their three-point shooting was particularly impressive, hitting over 65 percent from beyond the arc. This level of accuracy from distance is a clear warning sign for any defense that dares to underestimate SMU's shooters.

Defensively, SMU has also been solid. In their encounter with Houston Christian Huskies on December 20, they amassed an impressive total of 12 blocks and 13 steals, which contributed significantly to their comfortable victory margin. This defensive prowess will be crucial in containing Tulane's offense.

The Green Wave should not be taken lightly though; they bring their own set of challenges to the court. However, given SMU's recent form and home-court advantage at Moody Coliseum – where they have consistently performed well – it seems likely that the Mustangs will emerge victorious once again.

Tulane will need to find ways to disrupt SMU's rhythm if they hope to stand a chance. They must focus on limiting turnovers and improving their assist-to-turnover ratio which has been less than ideal in previous games.

Looking ahead at this upcoming contest scheduled for February 2nd at Moody Coliseum in Dallas – fans can expect another showcase of basketball excellence from the Mustangs as they look poised for another win in front of a home crowd eager for success. The game promises excitement and is set up perfectly as both teams vie for supremacy on court.

For those unable to attend in person, you can catch all the action live on ESPN2 starting at channel number 209; tip-off time is yet announced but stay tuned as this game should not be missed by any basketball enthusiast or loyal fan rooting for either side.
