SMU Mustangs Set to Surge Past Tulane Green Wave at Devlin Fieldhouse

As the Southern Methodist University Mustangs prepare to face off against the Tulane Green Wave, fans are brimming with anticipation for what promises to be a riveting encounter at Devlin Fieldhouse. The Mustangs, coming off a string of impressive performances, are poised to continue their dominance on the court.

Tulane Green Wave VS SMU Mustangs

The SMU squad's recent game on December 22 against Murray State Racers showcased their offensive prowess as they racked up an astounding 92 points. Their shooting was nothing short of spectacular, with field goal percentages hitting 60 percent and three-point attempts finding the net 65 percent of the time. This level of accuracy from beyond the arc could spell trouble for any defense trying to contain them.

Moreover, SMU's defensive efforts cannot be overlooked. In their clash with Houston Christian Huskies on December 20, they amassed an impressive total of 12 blocks and 13 steals, which translated into a significant number of fast-break points (19) and points off turnovers (21). Such defensive intensity will undoubtedly put pressure on Tulane's offense.

The Mustangs have also demonstrated remarkable resilience in games where they've trailed or faced adversity. For instance, during their December 17 game against Florida State Seminoles, despite starting slow with only 25 points in the first half, they surged back in the second half scoring an additional 43 points to secure a win.

Tulane Green Wave will certainly not make it easy for SMU; however, given that SMU has shown both offensive firepower and defensive solidity in recent outings while maintaining high assists turnover ratios (1.38 against Murray State), it is clear that they have found a rhythm that works well for them as a team.

Fans should expect another thrilling performance from SMU as they take on Tulane Green Wave. With strong ball movement and sharpshooting abilities demonstrated by previous games' statistics such as high field goal percentages across halves and consistent scoring output from key players – there is every reason to believe that this upcoming game will add another victory to their record.

Mark your calendars for February 15 at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans; tip-off is scheduled for prime time viewing at ESPN+. Don't miss out on what promises to be an exciting showcase of collegiate basketball talent!
