In their last outing against Murray State Racers, the Mustangs dominated with a 92-65 win. Their scoring was consistent across both halves and they demonstrated remarkable shooting accuracy with a field goal percentage of 60 and an impressive three-point percentage of 65. The team also excelled in ball distribution, racking up 22 assists while maintaining control of the ball with only 16 turnovers.

The game prior saw the Mustangs defeat Houston Christian Huskies in a decisive home victory, scoring 89 points to the Huskies' 53. The Mustangs' defense was particularly noteworthy; they blocked an astounding 12 shots and stole the ball on 13 occasions. Their free throw accuracy was nearly flawless at an exceptional rate of 90 percent.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for SMU as they faced a tougher challenge against Florida State Seminoles but still emerged victorious with a scoreline of 68-57. Despite lower shooting percentages compared to previous games – including just a three-point percentage of only around one-third – they managed to secure victory through solid rebounding (43 total rebounds) and capitalizing on turnovers.

As we look ahead to the upcoming clash against Memphis Tigers, it's clear that SMU's ability to maintain high shooting percentages from both inside and beyond the arc will be crucial for another win at home. Moreover, continuing their trend of strong defensive plays will be key in suppressing Memphis' offense.
