The South Carolina team has been on a commendable run, showcasing their ability to close games effectively. Their recent victory on December 22 against Elon Phoenix by a score of 70-43 was particularly impressive. The Gamecocks dominated both halves of the game and were particularly effective from inside the paint where they scored 26 points. They also capitalized on turnovers, scoring 17 points off their opponent's mistakes.

Another notable performance was against Winthrop Eagles on December 20, where they secured a narrow win with a score of 72-62. Despite committing more personal fouls than in previous games, they managed an exceptional free throw percentage of 100 percent which undoubtedly contributed to their victory.

Against Charleston Southern Buccaneers on December 16, it was again evident that South Carolina knows how to maintain composure under pressure. With lead changes occurring twelve times throughout the game and times tied five times, it was anyone's game until the final buzzer sounded with SCAR edging out CHSO by just four points for a final score of 73-69.

The key takeaway from these past performances is SCAR's resilience and ability to execute under pressure – traits that will be essential when facing TENN in their home court advantage environment. While TENN will undoubtedly put up strong resistance with support from their home crowd in Knoxville, SCAR’s recent form suggests they have what it takes to challenge any opponent.

However, fans should not overlook TENN’s potential threat as an adversary; maintaining focus and minimizing turnovers will be crucial for SCAR if they wish to secure another win for this season.

Looking ahead at what promises to be an exhilarating match-up between two competitive teams eager for victory; supporters can mark their calendars for January 30th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time when these two teams collide at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville.
