The Gamecocks started strong in the first half, putting up 39 points to the Tigers' 29. The second half saw a more balanced effort from both sides, but it was South Carolina who maintained their lead by scoring an additional 33 points to Missouri's 35. The Gamecocks showed remarkable efficiency from beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of 40 percent, sinking 10 shots from downtown.

South Carolina's defense was equally impressive; they matched Missouri's four blocks and surpassed them with eight steals. This defensive hustle translated into offense as they capitalized on turnovers, scoring 15 points off turnovers compared to Missouri's 12. Additionally, their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an impressive 1.78.

A key factor in South Carolina’s win was their ability to distribute the ball effectively; they tallied up a total of 16 assists over Missouri’s ten. Despite being slightly outrebounded by Missouri (28 rebounds for South Carolina versus Missouri’s total rebound count of 29), this did not significantly impact their performance or final result.

On offense for the Tigers, they were able to make an impact inside by scoring an outstanding number of points in paint totaling at forty and achieving fast break points tallying eighteen which showcased their ability to exploit transitions effectively.

Looking ahead for fans of the South Carolina Gamecocks: The team is scheduled to play away against Tennessee Volunteers at Thompson-Boling Arena located in Knoxville on January thirty-first at six-thirty PM Eastern Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted nationally on SEC Network channel six hundred eleven for those wishing to follow along live.
