Their offensive efficiency was evident as they shot 54 percent from two-point range and managed to convert 27 percent of their three-point attempts into valuable points. Moreover, the team's defensive efforts were not overshadowed by their offensive display; they racked up seven steals and three blocks while limiting turnovers to just ten.

The Gamecocks' performance against Winthrop Eagles on December 20 was equally impressive. They secured a close win with a score of 72-62. Their free throw accuracy was impeccable at 100 percent, which could be pivotal in tight games where every point counts. Additionally, SCAR's ability to control the paint was clear as they scored an outstanding 40 points inside.

Vanderbilt cannot be underestimated though; every opponent has unique strengths that could pose challenges for even the most well-prepared teams like SCAR. It will require another all-around effort from South Carolina players if they wish to emerge victorious once more before their loyal supporters.
