Can South Carolina Gamecocks Overcome Their Challenges After Recent Setback?

The South Carolina Gamecocks started strong with a first-half performance that saw them scoring 30 points. However, they couldn't maintain this momentum into the second half, adding only 32 more points to their tally. Free throw accuracy was a concern for South Carolina as they managed to convert only 52 percent of their attempts.


Morris Ugusuk emerged as a standout player for the Gamecocks with an impressive contribution of 15 points and maintaining an efficient shooting rate from both two-point (50 percent) and three-point range (44 percent). Collin Murray-Boyles also made significant contributions with a double-double consisting of 11 points and ten rebounds, alongside five steals which showcased his defensive capabilities.

On the other side, Oklahoma Sooners demonstrated why they were formidable opponents on their home court. They finished strong with an overall field goal percentage of 56 percent and were particularly effective from two-point range where they shot at an impressive rate of 61 percent. Their ability to capitalize on turnovers was evident as they scored 19 points off turnovers compared to just three by South Carolina.
