Game Highlights

The South Carolina Gamecocks showed promise in several aspects of their gameplay but ultimately couldn't match up to the intensity brought by the LSU Tigers. The Gamecocks managed to score 67 points with a field goal percentage of 47 percent and were particularly effective from the free-throw line, hitting 80 percent of their shots. However, turnovers were a significant issue for South Carolina as they gave up possession 18 times during the game.

Collin Murray-Boyles stood out for South Carolina with an impressive double-double performance, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Additionally, his defensive efforts included two blocks. Jamarii Thomas also had an exceptional game offensively, leading his team in scoring with 23 points on an efficient shooting night where he made over half of his attempts from both inside and beyond the arc.

On defense, however, South Carolina struggled to contain LSU's offensive onslaught. The Tigers capitalized on turnovers scoring 23 points off these mistakes and showcased their depth with 30 bench points compared to South Carolina's 15. Their balanced attack was evident as they finished with five players blocking shots and twelve steals over the course of play.
