The Bulls showcased a remarkable turnaround after halftime. Initially trailing with only 31 points to the Owls' 40 in the first half, they surged ahead to add an astounding 50 points in the second half. This offensive explosion was pivotal for their victory over the Owls who managed to score just 33 points after halftime.

South Florida's defense was nothing short of formidable; they tallied eight blocks and swiped away possession twelve times through steals. These defensive efforts were crucial in limiting Rice's scoring opportunities and creating fast-break chances for themselves which resulted in a total of seventeen fast break points.

On offense, South Florida demonstrated efficiency from both inside and outside the paint. They scored thirty-two points within close range while also converting eight three-pointers at a rate of thirty-three percent from beyond the arc. Their free throw accuracy was particularly noteworthy as they made twenty-five out of twenty-nine attempts which translates to an excellent eighty-six percent success rate.

The team's ball movement led to eighteen assists on their way to scoring eighty-one total points. Moreover, their careful handling resulted in only six turnovers compared to Rice's eighteen turnovers which allowed South Florida twenty-eight additional points off those lost possessions by Rice.

Rice Owls did put up strong numbers despite falling short; they shot forty-six percent from field goals overall and fifty percent from three-point range. They also outrebounded South Florida with forty-one rebounds including nine offensive boards leading to second-chance opportunities that contributed eight additional points for them.

Looking ahead for fans of South Florida Bulls is another exciting matchup as they will be playing away against Memphis Tigers at FedExForum located at Memphis on January 18th at 6:00 PM Central Time (7:00 PM Eastern). The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN channel two hundred six where fans can tune in to support their team once again.
