Will South Florida Bulls' Precision Overcome Tulane Green Wave's Pace?

The South Florida Bulls, ranked 24th, showcased their skillful play against the Tulane Green Wave in a game that ended with an 85-72 scoreline. The Bulls improved their record to an impressive 24-5, while the Green Wave fell to a less fortunate 5-24 tally. The Yuengling Center in Tampa witnessed the home team's triumph as they capitalized on their opportunities and minimized errors throughout the match.

The Bulls demonstrated remarkable accuracy from both the field and the free-throw line, shooting at a solid 48 percent and a perfect 100 percent respectively. Their three-point shooting was also notable with a successful rate of 45 percent. This sharpshooting was complemented by an efficient distribution of the ball, as evidenced by their impressive tally of 25 assists. Moreover, they managed to keep turnovers low at just eight for the entire game.

Defensively, South Florida outperformed with steals totaling thirteen compared to Tulane's five and blocked more shots with three against two from Tulane. These defensive efforts translated into significant points off turnovers for the Bulls, who scored twenty-five points in such situations.

On offense, fast break points were another area where South Florida excelled; they outpaced Tulane with twenty-six fast break points versus fifteen from their opponents. Additionally, despite having fewer total rebounds than Tulane (29 against thirty-seven), it did not significantly impact their ability to control the game.

Tulane Green Wave put up a strong fight during this conference game but struggled with turnovers which amounted to seventeen by end time. They shot well from beyond the arc at forty percent but could not match South Florida’s efficiency on offense or defense.

Looking ahead after this convincing victory at home court before an enthusiastic crowd of ten thousand three hundred fifty-four fans, South Florida Bulls will next face Tulsa Golden Hurricane away at Donald W. Reynolds Center in Tulsa on March 9th at 2:00 PM Central Time (3:00 PM Eastern). Fans eager to follow can catch all live action via ESPN+ internet broadcast network.
