Cardinal's Strategic Play

The Stanford Cardinal demonstrated exceptional teamwork and strategic play throughout the match. With an overall shooting percentage of 47 percent from the field and an outstanding 46 percent from beyond the arc, they capitalized on their scoring opportunities efficiently. The team also excelled in ball distribution, amassing 17 assists which played a crucial role in securing their victory.

Oziyah Sellers stood out with his remarkable performance, leading his team with 27 points. His accuracy was on display as he shot 62 percent from the field and an impressive 67 percent from three-point range. Maxime Raynaud also made significant contributions with his prowess under the basket; grabbing 14 rebounds and adding eight points to his team's total.

Seminoles' Efforts Fall Short

The Florida State Seminoles showed resilience especially in increasing their scoring output in the second half but struggled to overcome Stanford's lead. Their efforts were highlighted by converting free throws at a rate of 75 percent and securing eight steals which underscored their defensive attempts to disrupt Stanford’s flow.

Despite these efforts and managing to narrow down Stanford’s biggest lead to just one point at one juncture during the game, it wasn't enough against Stanford’s balanced attack and solid defense that limited them to only making six out of twenty attempts from three-point land.

Looking ahead, fans can mark their calendars for an exciting matchup as The Stanford Cardinal is set to host Syracuse Orange at Maples Pavilion on January 29th at 11:00 PM EDT. This upcoming game promises another thrilling display of college basketball that fans can catch live on ESPNU.
