Syracuse Orange Set to Storm the Barclays Center Against St. John's Red Storm

As the Syracuse Orange prepare to face off against the St. John's Red Storm at the Barclays Center, fans are eager for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Syracuse team comes into this game with a mixed bag of recent performances, but there is reason for optimism.

In their last outing on November 22 against Richmond Spiders, SYR showed resilience and an ability to close out games in high-pressure situations. They emerged victorious with a score of 74-71 after an intense overtime battle that showcased their defensive prowess with 9 blocks and 10 steals contributing significantly to their win. Their scoring was balanced across halves and they demonstrated clutch play when it mattered most.

However, consistency has been an issue for SYR as evidenced by their performance on November 19 against Northeastern Huskies where they dominated with a comfortable win of 76-48 at home. Their field goal percentage was impressive at around 53 percent and they were particularly effective from beyond the arc hitting nearly 43 percent of three-point attempts.

But it wasn't all smooth sailing; on November 16, SYR faced Colgate Raiders in what turned out to be a disappointing loss with a scoreline of 68-80. Despite shooting well from the free-throw line at around 80 percent, they struggled from the field overall and were outplayed in terms of assists and second-chance points.

The upcoming game against SJU will not be easy by any means. The St. John's team is known for its aggressive playstyle and ability to disrupt opponents' rhythm which could pose challenges for SYR’s offense that has shown vulnerability under pressure.

SYR must leverage their strong points: defensive tenacity leading to turnovers which can transition into fast-break opportunities where they have excelled previously scoring an average of over ten fast break points per game recently.

The key matchup will likely revolve around controlling paint presence where SYR has shown efficiency scoring consistently inside while also defending well as indicated by their blocks stats in recent games.

Fans should expect Syracuse Orange to come out with intensity focusing on defense first approach while exploiting any weaknesses in SJU’s armor especially if they can maintain or improve upon their three-point shooting accuracy witnessed during previous wins this season.

Mark your calendars for November 23rd at Barclays Center; tip-off is scheduled for what translates locally as Tuesday night at approximately half past nine PM Eastern Time (9:30 PM ET). Fans unable to attend can catch all the action live on ESPN2 channel number two hundred nine (209).
