Syracuse Orange Set to Clash with Bryant Bulldogs at JMA Wireless Dome

As the Syracuse Orange prepare to host the Bryant Bulldogs at the JMA Wireless Dome, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying matchup. The Orange have shown a mixed bag of performances recently, but there's reason to believe they could dominate in their upcoming game.

Niagara Purple Eagles VS Syracuse Orange

In their last outing on November 23 against St. John's Red Storm, Syracuse fell just short in overtime, scoring 69 points compared to St. John's 76. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; notably their defensive prowess with 9 blocks and a solid free throw percentage of 78 percent. However, their three-point shooting was lackluster at only 19 percent.

Comparing this performance to their previous victory over Northeastern Huskies on November 19 where they scored an impressive 76 points and shot over half from the field (53 percent), it’s clear that consistency is Syracuse’s biggest hurdle. Their ability to control the paint was evident as they racked up a whopping 44 points inside against Northeastern.

The Bulldogs should not be underestimated though. They bring their own set of skills and will undoubtedly challenge SU’s defense. But if Syracuse can harness the same energy and execution they displayed against Northeastern—particularly by maintaining high shooting percentages both from two-point range (57 percent) and beyond the arc (43 percent)—they stand a good chance of coming out on top.

One key factor for SU will be managing turnovers; they need to replicate or improve upon their performance against Richmond Spiders on November 22 when they had an assist-turnover ratio of nearly two assists for every turnover committed.

For fans looking forward to seeing how these dynamics play out, mark your calendars: The showdown between Syracuse Orange and Bryant Bulldogs is scheduled for Saturday night at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, NY. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM local time (EST), and those who can't make it in person can catch all the action live via ACC Network Extra online broadcast network.
