The JMA Wireless Dome was alive with energy as the Syracuse Orange took control early in their game against the Georgetown Hoyas. The home team set an aggressive pace from the start, ending the first half with a commanding lead. Their offensive efforts were highlighted by an outstanding field goal percentage of 50 percent and a remarkable free throw accuracy that nearly reached perfection at 95 percent.

The Syracuse defense was equally formidable, amassing eight blocks and ten steals over the course of play. This defensive pressure contributed to turning over possession nine times for points off turnovers totaling 24, which played a significant role in widening their lead. The team's rebounding efforts were also noteworthy as they edged out their opponents with 35 rebounds compared to Georgetown's 34.

On offense, Syracuse showcased their ability to distribute the ball effectively with an impressive tally of 20 assists. Their dominance inside was evident as they racked up an imposing total of 46 points in paint. Despite shooting only at a rate of around 21 percent from beyond the arc, making just three three-pointers, it did little to slow down their overall scoring momentum.

The visiting Hoyas struggled to find consistency throughout both halves but managed to make six three-pointers on a shooting percentage from distance hovering around just under one-quarter success rate. They showed resilience under pressure by sinking nearly nine-tenths of their free throws but ultimately could not match up against Syracuse’s robust gameplay.

As for individual performances on both sides, there were no shortage highlights; however specific player statistics are not available within this report due to data constraints.
