In front of a home crowd at the JMA Wireless Dome, the Orange showcased their dominance on both ends of the court. The team's defensive efforts were particularly noteworthy as they racked up an impressive total of 10 steals and blocked four shots. This defensive prowess translated into fast break opportunities where Syracuse outscored their opponents with 21 fast break points compared to North Carolina State's 19.

Offensively, Syracuse was efficient from the field, shooting at a solid rate of 45 percent overall and an even more impressive 39 percent from beyond the arc. Their two-point attempts were also fruitful, with a conversion rate of nearly half at 47 percent. Free throws were plentiful for Syracuse as they made it to the line for an imposing number of attempts totaling to 32 but converted these opportunities at a modest rate of just over three-fifths.

Syracuse's balanced attack was facilitated by commendable ball distribution that resulted in them accumulating one more assist than their adversaries with a total count of fifteen assists. They also took better care of the ball overall, committing fewer turnovers (9) compared to North Carolina State (14), which allowed them to maintain control throughout much of the game.

The Wolfpack struggled in comparison but still managed some positive statistics despite falling short on points scored. They shot just under two-fifths from inside and only converted about one-third from three-point range while maintaining an admirable free throw accuracy rounding up to nearly perfect at eighty-two percent.

North Carolina State did manage to pull down more rebounds than Syracuse with forty-one boards including twelve offensive rebounds which led them to accumulate twelve second-chance points. However, this effort was not enough against Syracuse’s well-rounded performance on both sides.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate seeing Syracuse Orange back in action against Boston College Eagles at Silvio O. Conte Forum on January 30th at seven o'clock in Chestnut Hill MA; this game will be broadcast nationally on ACC Network channel six hundred twelve for those who wish to tune in and support their team remotely.
