Can the Horned Frogs' Dominance in Paint Translate to Victory at Allen Fieldhouse?

77-42: The TCU Horned Frogs showcased their dominance on the court with a commanding victory over the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions. The home team's record remains unblemished as they outperformed their opponents in nearly every aspect of the game. The Lions, despite their efforts, fell short and now reflect on a score that hardly captures their struggle.

TCU Horned Frogs VS Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers

The Schollmaier Arena witnessed an impressive display by the TCU Horned Frogs, who capitalized on turnovers and fast breaks to secure 34 points, showcasing their ability to convert defense into offense seamlessly. Their aggressive play under the basket was evident as they racked up 50 points in paint compared to Texas A&M-Commerce's 34. This inside presence was further bolstered by a significant rebounding advantage for TCU, grabbing 55 rebounds over Texas A&M-Commerce's 29.

TCU’s offensive execution was clinical with a field goal percentage of 48 percent from an array of well-executed plays leading to 64 attempts. Their two-point shooting was particularly effective at a rate of 57 percent from within the arc. While three-point shots were not falling as frequently with only three made out of fifteen attempts, it did little to dampen TCU’s offensive output.

On defense, both teams matched each other with nine steals and four blocks each; however, TCU managed this while committing fewer personal fouls—only seven against Texas A&M-Commerce's twenty-one—demonstrating disciplined defensive play without compromising aggression.

The assists column also reflected TCU’s superior ball movement and teamwork throughout the game; they doubled up on Texas A&M-Commerce with twenty-one assists which contributed significantly to their high field goal percentage.

Texas A&M-Commerce struggled from beyond the arc and overall shooting accuracy throughout the night. They shot just nine percent from three-point range and thirty-two percent overall from field goals which severely limited their scoring opportunities against a staunch TCU defense.

As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for when TCU takes on Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence on January 6th at noon local time (1:00 PM CST). This matchup promises another exciting chapter for this season's campaign. Fans unable to attend can catch all action live nationally broadcasted by CBS.
