Temple Owls Set to Challenge Tulane Green Wave in New Orleans Showdown

As the Temple Owls prepare to face off against the Tulane Green Wave at Devlin Fieldhouse, fans are eager for a glimpse into what might unfold on the court. The upcoming game, scheduled for February 4th, is poised to be a pivotal moment for the Owls as they look to capitalize on their recent performances.

Tulane Green Wave VS Temple Owls

In their last outing on December 24th against the Portland Pilots, Temple emerged victorious with a narrow one-point margin, clinching a 55-54 win. This gritty performance was characterized by an impressive defensive display that saw them rack up 12 steals and maintain control of the rebounds with a total of 35. Despite shooting at just 32 percent from the field and struggling behind the arc with only 23 percent from three-point range, it was their ability to convert points off turnovers—23 in total—that proved decisive.

However, consistency remains an issue for TEM as evidenced by their previous games. A concerning defeat came at the hands of Old Dominion Monarchs on December 23rd where they lost by a significant margin of 63-78. The Monarchs dominated inside scoring an overwhelming majority of their points in paint and showcasing superior shooting accuracy both from two-point range (60 percent) and overall field goals (50 percent). TEM's defense faltered here allowing too many easy baskets which ultimately cost them the game.

Moreover, when hosting Nevada Wolf Pack earlier that month on December 21st, Temple again fell short with a scoreline reading just 56-80 against them. Their offensive struggles were apparent; they shot only at an abysmal rate of 28 percent from field goals and even though they managed better efficiency from free throws (73 percent), it wasn't enough to counteract Nevada's robust offense which included outscoring TEM in fast break points and second chance points.

Looking ahead to Tulane Green Wave's home advantage could pose additional challenges for TEM. However, if they can replicate their defensive tenacity seen against Portland while improving shot selection and execution then there is potential for an upset in New Orleans.

The key will be whether Temple can disrupt TULN’s rhythm early on while finding ways to efficiently put up points themselves—something that has been inconsistent throughout these past games but not out of reach given their demonstrated capabilities under pressure situations.

Fans eagerly anticipating this matchup should mark their calendars; tip-off is set for February 4th at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans at precisely nine o'clock PM Eastern Time. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU channel number two hundred eight where supporters can witness whether TEM rises above recent inconsistencies or succumbs once more under away-game pressures.
