South Carolina put up a valiant effort in paint scoring with thirty points but fell short due to lower shooting percentages across all categories compared to Tennessee's numbers: field goals (38 percent), free throws (50 percent), and three-pointers (28 percent). Despite committing more personal fouls than Tennessee (17 versus thirteen), South Carolina managed more second-chance points (15) thanks to twelve offensive rebounds.

As for individual performances from Tennessee that deserve mention: players showed great discipline by avoiding any foul outs or ejections throughout this intense conference game. Moreover, their assist-to-turnover ratio was commendable at two – indicative of smart ball-handling and teamwork during playmaking situations.
