The Volunteers have been showing a consistent performance throughout the season. In their recent matchup on March 9 against the Kentucky Wildcats, ranked 15th nationally, they put up an impressive fight but fell just short with a final score of 81-85. Despite this loss, there were several positive takeaways for the team. The Vols demonstrated remarkable resilience by scoring 52 points in the second half and showcasing their defensive prowess with nine steals and five blocks.

Tennessee's fast-break points stood out at an impressive total of 24, indicating their ability to capitalize on turnovers and transition quickly from defense to offense. Their assist-to-turnover ratio was also commendable at 2.43, reflecting efficient ball handling and teamwork.

On March 7 against the South Carolina Gamecocks (ranked 17th), Tennessee emerged victorious with a score of 66-59 in an away game that highlighted their tenacity on defense once again. They managed six steals and four blocks while maintaining control over turnovers with only eight compared to South Carolina's ten.

Earlier on March 3rd against Alabama Crimson Tide (ranked 14th), Tennessee secured another win with a score of 81-74 despite being away from home turf once more. Their ability to maintain composure under pressure was evident as they turned over the ball only six times while forcing twelve turnovers from Alabama.

Looking ahead to face MSST, it is clear that TENN has shown they can perform under pressure and turn defense into offense effectively – qualities that will be crucial in overcoming their opponents who are known for their competitive spirit.

The Bulldogs should not be underestimated though; any lapse in focus or execution by TENN could very well tip the scales in favor of MSST who will come prepared for battle.

Fans eagerly await this showdown which is set for March 15 at Bridgestone Arena where tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM Eastern Time. With both teams looking to assert dominance early on in postseason play, it’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top – but one thing is certain: it will be a game worth watching! For those unable to attend in person, you can catch all the action live on ESPN.
