Game Highlights


The Tennessee Volunteers showcased a balanced attack throughout the game, with significant contributions from several players. Chaz Lanier led his team in scoring with 17 points and added two rebounds to his tally. Not far behind were Igor Milicic and Felix Okpara, each contributing 16 points; Okpara also impressed defensively by blocking four shots. Zakai Zeigler played a crucial role as well, not only by scoring 16 points but also by dishing out ten assists, demonstrating his dual-threat capability on offense.


Despite these strong individual performances and maintaining a lead of up to eight points during the game, it was not enough to secure victory over Vanderbilt. The Commodores had an impressive showing from their bench players who contributed 20 points towards their win and managed to turn around a deficit into a lead as large as sixteen points at one stage.

The game was tightly contested in terms of statistics as well. The Volunteers shot an overall field goal percentage of 48 percent and were equally proficient from beyond the arc, hitting ten three-pointers at a rate of 48 percent. Their free throw accuracy stood out at an impressive rate of 81 percent.


On defense, Tennessee managed six blocks and four steals but struggled slightly more on rebounds than Vanderbilt did; they gathered twenty-five rebounds compared to Vanderbilt's twenty-nine.
