Volunteers' Offensive Mastery

The Tennessee team's offensive strategy paid off with a remarkable 60 percent field goal shooting accuracy, including a 43 percent success rate from beyond the arc. Their dominance was evident as they established an overwhelming 28-point lead at one point during the match. The team's efficiency on offense was complemented by their ability to convert turnovers into points, adding 10 points off turnovers to their tally.

Zakai Zeigler stood out with his contribution of 17 points, bolstered by nine assists and four steals, showcasing his all-around game. Chaz Lanier also made significant contributions with 21 points and five rebounds. Felix Okpara’s defensive presence was undeniable as he racked up four blocks alongside eight points and three rebounds.

Sooners Struggle Against Volunteer Defense

On the other side of the court, Oklahoma struggled to find their rhythm against Tennessee's tight defense. The Sooners managed only a 32 percent field goal shooting percentage and were particularly challenged from long range, hitting just six out of twenty-three attempts for a mere 26 percent three-point shooting accuracy.

Despite these challenges, Oklahoma showed resilience in drawing fouls and capitalized on free throw opportunities by maintaining a perfect free throw percentage throughout the game.

Looking Ahead

The Tennessee Volunteers are set to continue their campaign as they head to Rupp Arena for an anticipated matchup against Kentucky Wildcats on February 11th at 7:00 PM EDT. Fans can catch this action-packed encounter live on ESPN as both teams vie for supremacy in what promises to be another exciting college basketball showdown.
