The Tennessee Volunteers showcased their depth and strategic gameplay throughout the match. Zakai Zeigler led his team with an impressive 20 points, complemented by four assists and four rebounds. His performance was pivotal in securing this victory for his team. Jordan Gainey also made significant contributions with 15 points and five rebounds, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure.


Defensively, Felix Okpara stood out despite not scoring; he grabbed nine rebounds and made two steals, contributing significantly to Tennessee's defensive efforts. Chaz Lanier added another layer of offense with 12 points and one block.

Auburn's Effort


The Auburn Tigers put up a strong fight against their higher-ranked opponents. Their strategy focused on maximizing possessions and converting opportunities into points off turnovers where they managed to score 16 points compared to Tennessee's 11 from similar situations.


Despite their efforts and leading by as much as five points during the game, Auburn struggled with free throw accuracy (59 percent) which ultimately affected their chance for a comeback late in the game.
