The first half was a tightly contested affair, with both teams exchanging leads multiple times. However, despite these efforts, the Vols trailed by a narrow margin of 37-36 at halftime.


Second Half


As play resumed, Arkansas began to assert dominance on both ends of the court. The Razorbacks capitalized on their free throw opportunities with an impressive 88 percent conversion rate from the line throughout the game. This efficiency helped them extend their lead significantly during crucial moments in this period.

Tennessee's Ja'Kobi Gillespie attempted to rally his team with a commendable performance that included four assists and two steals. Despite his efforts and those of Nate Ament who added valuable points off turnovers for Rocky Top, it wasn't enough as Arkansas maintained control over proceedings thanks largely due its superior rebounding advantage (36 total rebounds compared against Tennessee’s 33).
