In their last game on December 22 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders, TEX showcased a robust defense and an efficient offense. With a 71-55 victory under their belt, they demonstrated why they're one of the teams to watch this season. Their field goal percentage stood at an impressive 48 percent while converting 79 percent from the free-throw line. Moreover, with seven blocks and six steals in that game alone, it's clear that TEX has been focusing on tightening up their defensive plays.

The offensive prowess of TEX was also on full display during their December 16 clash with LSU Tigers at Toyota Center in Houston. Scoring a remarkable 96 points and shooting an astounding 54 percent from the field shows just how lethal they can be when they find their rhythm. Notably, shooting accuracy from beyond the arc was particularly deadly – hitting half of their three-point attempts.

However, it's not just about scoring; distribution has been key for TEX as well. In that same game against LSU Tigers where they scored almost a hundred points, they also dished out 21 assists which is indicative of excellent ball movement and teamwork.

Looking back further into December 9 against Houston Christian Huskies reveals another layer of this team's capabilities – fast breaks and capitalizing on turnovers which led them to score an easy win with a scoreline reading 77-50 in favor of TEX.

While much focus is rightly placed on Texas Longhorns' recent form, let's not overlook KSU who will come into this matchup determined to upset the hosts. The Wildcats have shown moments of brilliance throughout the season but will need more consistency if they are going to challenge TEX’s stronghold at Moody Center.

TEX fans should feel confident yet cautious; basketball is unpredictable by nature and any lapse in concentration could swing momentum in favor of KSU who would love nothing more than spoiling the party in Austin.

Mark your calendars for February 19th when these two teams lock horns at exactly 8:00 PM CT at Moody Center located right here in Austin TX zip code area:78712 . Fans unable to attend can catch all action live nationally broadcasted by ESPN channel number:206 .
