Jordan Pope also made notable contributions scoring another 14 points for his team along with three rebounds and maintaining an admirable free throw percentage of 100 percent.

On the defensive end, Texas managed to block three shots and steal four times from their opponents but struggled to contain Tennessee's offense which proved too potent on this occasion.


Tennessee's Tactical Edge


The Volunteers demonstrated why they are ranked eighth nationally by executing a well-rounded game plan that saw them outperforming in several key statistical areas. They capitalized on turnovers scoring 13 points off them compared to Texas' 11 and dominated inside the paint with 36 points. Their defensive efforts were highlighted by six blocks and eight steals which disrupted many of Texas' plays.

One area where Tennessee particularly excelled was in drawing fouls which led them to attempt significantly more free throws than Texas (35 attempts), converting these opportunities into valuable points that contributed greatly to their victory margin.
