In front of a passionate crowd at United Supermarkets Arena, the Texas Tech Red Raiders showcased their dominance on the court against the Georgetown Hoyas. The home team's offense was firing on all cylinders, as they managed to sink 29 out of 57 field goal attempts, translating to an impressive field goal percentage of 51. The three-point line was also kind to the Red Raiders; they hit eight out of 19 attempts, marking a solid three-point shooting performance at 42 percent.

Defensively, Texas Tech was just as formidable. They racked up a total of 13 steals and blocked one shot. This defensive pressure contributed to forcing the Hoyas into committing a total of 18 turnovers. Capitalizing on these opportunities, the Red Raiders scored an impressive 26 points off turnovers.

On the rebounding front, Texas Tech dominated with a total of 41 rebounds compared to Georgetown's mere tally of 23. This included securing eight offensive boards which led to them scoring an additional eighteen second-chance points.

The free-throw line was another area where Texas Tech excelled; they made thirteen out of sixteen free throws attempted for an outstanding free throw percentage of approximately eighty-one percent.

The Hoyas did put up some resistance despite being overpowered by their opponents. They managed to make twenty-five field goals from fifty-six attempts resulting in nearly forty-five percent shooting accuracy from the field and were successful in nine out of twenty-six three-pointers taken which is about thirty-five percent success rate from beyond the arc.

Georgetown’s players also showed effort under pressure by making six out six free throws attempted and trying hard defensively with four blocks and six steals during gameplay but it wasn't enough against a well-prepared opponent like Texas Tech who had better overall game statistics including higher assist-to-turnover ratio (0.65 compared to Georgetown’s ratio which stood around zero point sixty-one).
