In an intense matchup at the United Supermarkets Arena, the Texas Tech Red Raiders secured a hard-fought victory against the visiting Nicholls State Colonels. The home team displayed remarkable resilience, overcoming a first-half deficit to outscore their opponents by twenty-two points in the second half. The final score reflected their strong finish: 78 for Texas Tech and 71 for Nicholls State.

The Red Raiders' offense was firing on all cylinders as they shot an impressive fifty percent from the field and forty-four percent from beyond the arc. Their free throw shooting was also notable, with twenty-nine made free throws contributing significantly to their total score. On defense, they managed to block three shots and steal twice from their opponents.

Key players for Texas Tech stepped up when it mattered most; sixteen assists were distributed among teammates indicating effective ball movement and teamwork on offense. Despite turning over the ball eighteen times, they capitalized on turnovers by scoring twenty points off them.

On the other side of court, Nicholls State put up a valiant effort but fell short in key areas of play. They shot forty-two percent overall and thirty percent from three-point range which wasn't enough to keep pace with Texas Tech's scoring efficiency. However, they did manage to convert seventy-one percent of their free throws into points.

The Colonels were more aggressive on defense with ten steals and five blocks but committed thirty-three personal fouls which allowed Texas Tech numerous opportunities at the charity stripe where they scored nearly forty percent of their points.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate another exciting game as Texas Tech prepares to host Eastern Washington Eagles at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock. This upcoming game is scheduled for December 13th at 7:00 PM local time and will be available for viewing on ESPN+. Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars for what promises to be another showcase of collegiate basketball talent.
