At Foster Pavilion, home to the Baylor Bears, fans witnessed an intense battle where both teams fought valiantly. The Texas Tech Red Raiders showcased their offensive skills by sinking 26 field goals out of 53 attempts, translating to a solid field goal percentage of 49. Their prowess from beyond the arc was notable as well; they made nine three-pointers from 22 attempts, achieving an impressive three-point percentage of 41. Inside the paint, they managed to add another 20 points to their tally.

The team's free throw performance was commendable; they hit twelve out of sixteen free throws which rounded up to a free throw percentage of about 75 percent. Despite these efforts on offense, it was turnovers that plagued them throughout; they committed a total of fourteen turnovers which unfortunately led to eleven points for the opposition.

On defense, Texas Tech managed only one block and three steals during playtime but struggled on rebounds against an aggressive Baylor side that pulled down thirty-three boards compared to twenty-four by Texas Tech. Personal fouls were also an area where discipline waned for Texas Tech as they accumulated twenty-five fouls over the course of action.

A bright spot for Texas Tech came in terms of assists where players combined for fourteen assists showcasing good ball movement and teamwork despite having an equal number in turnovers resulting in an assist-turnover ratio hovering around one.

The opposing team's performance cannot be overlooked as well – The Baylor Bears matched up intensely with nine steals and capitalized effectively on turnovers scoring sixteen points off them. They also had two blocks defensively and showed strength under both baskets grabbing eleven offensive rebounds contributing towards second-chance opportunities totaling six additional points.
