The Red Raiders put up a valiant effort on the court. Despite trailing with only 24 points in the first half compared to Iowa State's 38, they surged back in the second half to add an impressive 50 points to their tally. The team's overall field goal percentage was recorded at 45 percent and they excelled at free throws with an accuracy of 82 percent.

Texas Tech's offensive efforts were led by their two-point attempts which had a success rate of 64 percent resulting in them making 16 out of their total attempted shots from this range. From beyond the arc, they managed to net eight three-pointers out of twenty-eight attempts giving them a three-point shooting percentage of approximately 29 percent.

Defensively, Texas Tech gathered a total of thirty-four rebounds – twenty-nine personal and five team rebounds – along with two blocks and four steals throughout the game. However, turnovers were an issue for them as they gave up possession sixteen times.

On individual performances for Texas Tech, there was no shortage of effort as thirteen assists were distributed among players indicating good ball movement on offense. The assist-to-turnover ratio stood at roughly .87 which suggests that while there was collaboration on scoring plays there is room for improvement in ball handling.

The Cyclones demonstrated strong play as well with higher scoring efficiency inside the paint contributing to their higher field goal percentage overall (47 percent). They capitalized on fast break opportunities securing eleven fast break points and showed defensive prowess by converting turnovers into twenty-eight points off turnovers thanks to eight steals.

Iowa State also edged out slightly better rebounding numbers grabbing thirty-five rebounds including seven offensive boards which contributed to eleven second-chance points; these extra opportunities proved crucial down the stretch.

As fans look ahead following this tough loss on foreign hardwoods, attention turns back home where The Texas Tech Red Raiders will host TCU Horned Frogs at United Supermarkets Arena located in Lubbock TX (zip code:79409). This upcoming contest is scheduled for February 20th and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 channel number two hundred nine starting from eight o'clock PM Central Time.
