Can Texas Tech Overcome Mountaineers at WVU Coliseum?

As the Texas Tech Red Raiders prepare to face off against the West Virginia Mountaineers at the WVU Coliseum, fans are eager to see if their team can maintain its recent momentum. In their last game against the Iowa State Cyclones, despite a valiant effort and scoring 50 points in the second half, Texas Tech fell short with a final score of 74-82. Their field goal percentage stood at 45 percent and they excelled at free throws with an impressive 82 percent completion rate. However, turnovers were an issue as they gave up possession 16 times.

Looking back further, when hosting Kansas Jayhawks, Texas Tech showcased their defensive prowess with six steals and three blocks contributing to a convincing win of 79-50. Their field goal percentage was higher at 49 percent and they managed to convert 38 percent from beyond the arc.

Against UCF Knights on home turf, Texas Tech emerged victorious with a scoreline of 66-59. They struggled slightly from the field with only a 38 percent shooting accuracy but made up for it by sinking free throws at an exceptional rate of 87 percent.

The upcoming game promises to be challenging as West Virginia will have home-court advantage. However, if Texas Tech can leverage their strong free throw shooting and tighten up ball control to reduce turnovers, they stand a good chance of coming out on top.
