On defense, Texas Tech also had a notable performance limiting Drake to just 43 percent shooting from the field. Despite Drake making eight three-pointers at a rate of 47 percent, it wasn't enough to challenge Texas Tech's lead significantly at any point during the game.

Drake Bulldogs' Effort

The Drake Bulldogs showed resilience despite falling short against a formidable opponent. They managed to score efficiently from beyond the arc but struggled inside against Texas Tech’s defense which limited them to only twenty points in paint scoring opportunities.

Their bench contributed twenty-four points but it was not enough to overcome Texas Tech’s dominance throughout both halves of play. The Bulldogs did manage sixteen assists as a team showing good ball movement but faced challenges converting opportunities into scores when it mattered most.
