Tulane Green Wave Dominates at Devlin Fieldhouse in Men's Basketball Showdown Against Southern University Jaguars

In a display of offensive firepower, the Tulane Green Wave outscored the Southern University Jaguars with a commanding 105-81 victory. The Green Wave's season record now stands at an impressive 1-0, while the Jaguars fall to 0-1. The Tulane Green Wave showcased a remarkable shooting performance, converting 66 percent from the field and an impressive 78 percent from two-point range. Their sharpshooting extended beyond the arc as well, hitting nearly half of their three-point attempts with a success rate of 48 percent. The team also excelled at distributing the ball, tallying up to 24 assists over the course of play.


Defensively, Tulane made their presence felt by accumulating seven blocks and limiting their turnovers to just thirteen. This defensive effort contributed to them scoring fifteen points off turnovers and adding eight second-chance points to their total score. On top of that, they dominated in rebounding with thirty-six boards compared to twenty-nine by their opponents.


The Jaguars put up a valiant effort despite falling short in several key areas. They managed to score eighty-one points and were particularly effective during fast breaks where they scored twenty points. Their free throw accuracy was commendable as well; they made seventy-one percent of shots from the line.


The game saw no lead changes or ties indicating that once ahead, Tulane maintained control throughout both halves scoring fifty-one in the first half followed by fifty-four in the second half which sealed their victory convincingly before an attendance crowd of one thousand four hundred seven fans.
