The Green Wave started strong, putting up 41 points in the first half and adding another 47 in the second. Their offense was led by impressive shooting from beyond the arc, hitting 12 three-pointers at a remarkable 50 percent accuracy. Inside the paint, Tulane managed to add 22 points but were slightly outdone by UTSA's 24.

Defensively, Tulane showcased their ability to protect the rim with seven blocks and also recorded four steals throughout the contest. On the rebounding front, they gathered a total of 33 rebounds—24 defensive and nine offensive—contributing significantly to their scoring opportunities.

Tulane's players demonstrated teamwork with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.44 after dishing out 13 assists against nine turnovers. However, free throws proved less successful for them as they converted only 62 percent from the line.

On UTSA's side, they had a more balanced attack between two-point shots and three-pointers while maintaining higher efficiency inside with a two-point shooting percentage of 50 percent. They also excelled at capitalizing on second-chance points where they scored an additional ten points over Tulane’s seven.

The game was intensely competitive as evidenced by nine times tied and nineteen lead changes throughout its duration. Both teams fought relentlessly until the final buzzer sounded off at UTSA Convocation Center before an audience of approximately twelve hundred fans.
