Can the Green Wave Surge Past Owls in Overtime Showdown?

In a closely contested conference game at Devlin Fieldhouse, the Tulane Green Wave emerged victorious over the Temple Owls with a final score of 92-80. The Green Wave's season record now stands at an impressive 9-5, while the Owls fall to a challenging 6-8. The game was pushed into overtime after both teams ended regulation time locked in a battle that saw numerous lead changes and ties.

The home team, Tulane Green Wave, showcased their offensive efficiency by shooting an exceptional 55 percent from the field and an outstanding 89 percent from the free-throw line. Their prowess in scoring was particularly evident in their two-point attempts where they converted 68 percent of their shots. Dominating inside, they racked up a significant 48 points in the paint.

On the other side of court, despite being on losing end, Temple Owls put up a resilient fight against their hosts. They attempted more three-pointers but struggled from beyond arc hitting only twenty-six percent of those shots compared to twenty percent by Tulane which made three successful attempts from fifteen tries.


Temple's bench provided valuable contributions including twenty-one second chance points thanks largely due to thirteen offensive rebounds they grabbed over course of game; however it wasn't enough against solid performance displayed by host team who had higher assists turnover ratio at 1.08 versus Owl's ratio at 1.38 indicating more efficient playmaking under pressure.
