Can Tulane Green Wave Ride the Momentum to Overcome Memphis Tigers?

As the Tulane Green Wave prepare to face off against the Memphis Tigers at FedExForum, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The upcoming clash on February 11 is poised to be a pivotal moment for TULN, who have shown both flashes of brilliance and moments of vulnerability in their recent outings.

Reflecting on their last game on December 22 against George Mason Patriots, TULN fell just short, scoring 66 points to GMU's 69. Despite a strong first half where they led with 40 points, the second half saw them add only 26 more. Their field goal percentage was a concern at just 34 percent and from beyond the arc they managed only a modest 32 percent. However, their free throw accuracy was commendable at 76 percent.

Earlier in December on the 16th, TULN showcased what they're capable of when everything clicks. They put up an impressive offensive display against Southern University Jaguars with a resounding victory of 105-81. Their shooting was exceptional; an outstanding field goal percentage of 66 and an even more impressive two-point shooting rate at an astonishingly high rate of nearly four out of every five attempts finding its mark.

The most thrilling encounter came against Furman Paladins on December 15 where TULN emerged victorious after two overtimes with a scoreline that read like a basketball enthusiast's dream: Tulane Green Wave -117, Furman Paladins -110. The team's resilience shone through as they maintained high-intensity play throughout extended time—stealing possession seventeen times and converting those opportunities into valuable points off turnovers.

What does this mean for their upcoming game? It suggests that when TULN finds rhythm in their offense, they can be unstoppable. However, consistency is key; fluctuating performances could give MEM an edge if TULN cannot maintain their form throughout both halves.

The Memphis Tigers will not make it easy for them; playing at home provides them with familiar territory advantage which could prove crucial in tight situations. Yet if recent performances are anything to go by—the tenacity displayed by Tulane Green Wave suggests that fans may witness another exhilarating performance come game day.

Tulane supporters should mark their calendars for February 11th when these two teams lock horns at FedExForum in Memphis starting at 7:00 PM local time (2:00 PM GMT). The action will be broadcasted live on ESPN Networks for those who can't make it to Tennessee but still want to catch every dribble and dunk from afar.
