The Colonels kept pace with a respectable 36 points in the first half, showcasing their ability to capitalize on turnovers and fast breaks. However, they struggled with free throws, converting only 42 percent of their attempts.

Second Half

In the second half, both teams scored evenly with each adding another 36 points to their totals. The Green Wave maintained control through effective ball movement and solid defense. Scotty Middleton made his presence felt on both ends of the court with crucial rebounds and blocks that helped maintain Tulane's lead.

Nicholls State attempted a comeback by tightening their defense and increasing pressure on Tulane’s ball handlers but were unable to close the gap significantly due to missed opportunities at critical moments.

Key Performances

JoJo Moore stood out for Tulane with his perfect shooting percentage from beyond the arc, providing crucial baskets when needed most. Tyler Ringgold also contributed defensively by securing key rebounds that limited second-chance opportunities for Nicholls State.

For Nicholls State, despite an overall field goal percentage of 49 percent and commendable three-point shooting at 43 percent accuracy, they could not overcome their struggles at the free-throw line which proved costly in this tightly contested matchup.

Looking Ahead

Fans can look forward to seeing how these performances translate into future games as Tulane prepares for its next challenge against Grambling State Tigers on December 2nd at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in New Orleans. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ starting at 7:30 PM EST.
