Golden Hurricane Set to Storm FAU Arena in a Clash with the Owls

As the Tulsa Golden Hurricane prepare to face off against the Florida Atlantic Owls at FAU Arena, fans are eager for what promises to be an electrifying encounter. The upcoming game, scheduled for February 3rd, will test the mettle of a team that has shown both resilience and room for improvement.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane VS Florida Atlantic Owls

In their last outing on December 23rd against New Mexico State Aggies, TLSA emerged victorious with a score of 65-59. Despite shooting only 34 percent from the field and 20 percent from beyond the arc, they managed to secure a win thanks to their impressive free throw performance, hitting 89 percent of their shots from the line. Their defensive prowess was evident as they racked up eight steals and limited turnovers to just twelve.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for TLSA; they were outrebounded by five boards overall. This is an area where focus is needed if they are going to overcome an FAU team that will have home-court advantage.

Looking back at another recent game on December 20th against Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils provides further insight into TLSA's capabilities. They dominated with a score of 79-50, showcasing their ability to convert opportunities into points efficiently with a field goal percentage of 61 and fast break points tallying up at an impressive 26.

The Golden Hurricane's defense was relentless in this matchup as well – forcing twenty-two turnovers and converting them into thirty-one points. This aggressive defense combined with sharpshooting (54 percent from three-point range) could be key factors in overcoming the Owls if replicated.

Against Missouri State Bears on December 16th, TLSA secured another narrow victory at 73-72. Their two-point field goal percentage stood out at an excellent rate of 57 percent along with free throws at an equally commendable rate of 82 percent. With fewer turnovers than their opponents and more efficient shooting stats overall, it was enough for them to edge past despite being tied nine times throughout this nail-biter.

The upcoming clash against Florida Atlantic presents Tulsa Golden Hurricane with challenges but also opportunities – especially considering their recent form which shows grit under pressure. To come away with another win on foreign territory will require them not only maintaining these high-performance levels but also improving in areas such as rebounding where they've been found wanting previously.

Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ when these two teams go head-to-head on February third at eleven o'clock PM Eastern Time in Boca Raton's FAU Arena. It's set up nicely for what could be one more thrilling chapter in Tulsa Golden Hurricane's season narrative – don't miss it!
