Clash at Thomas Assembly Center: UAB Blazers to Face Louisiana Tech Bulldogs

As the University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers gear up for their next challenge against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at the Thomas Assembly Center, fans are looking forward to what promises to be a riveting encounter. The Blazers, coming off a nail-biting game where they fell just short against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers with a score of 78-80 on January 12th, will be eager to bounce back and demonstrate their resilience.

UAB Blazers VS Louisiana Tech Bulldogs

In that recent contest, despite being outscored in both halves, UAB showcased their ability to fight until the last buzzer. They managed an impressive 44 total rebounds compared to Hilltoppers' 30 and dominated points in the paint with 32. However, it was their free throw percentage that let them down; shooting only 64 percent from the line could have been what tipped the scales in favor of Western Kentucky.

Looking ahead, there's reason for optimism within the UAB camp. Their performance against Florida International Panthers on January 8th saw them rack up an impressive offensive display scoring 87 points. Although they lost in overtime by three points, their field goal percentage stood solid at 50 percent and they excelled in fast break situations with a notable tally of 17 fast break points.

The Blazers' tenacity was also evident when they faced Florida Atlantic Owls on January 6th. Despite losing by two points (86-88), UAB had a commendable three-point shooting rate of 50 percent and maintained an assist-to-turnover ratio above one (1.22). This indicates that when they control possession and optimize shot selection, they can compete with any team.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will not make it easy though; as hosts, they'll look to assert dominance early on. The Bulldogs are known for their defensive prowess and will test every aspect of UAB's offensive strategies.

For fans anticipating this matchup, it is clear that if UAB focuses on maintaining high shooting percentages while tightening up free throw accuracy under pressure situations – as seen during past performances – there's every chance for victory away from home soil.

The scheduled date is set for January 14th at precisely four o'clock PM Central Time at Ruston’s Thomas Assembly Center. Fans unable or unwilling to travel can catch all action live via internet broadcast network STADIUM.
