UCF Knights' Rally Falls Short Against BYU Cougars at Addition Financial Arena

The University of Central Florida Knights faced a tough challenge against the BYU Cougars, culminating in a 75-81 loss at the Addition Financial Arena. Key Performances and Game Highlights

The Knights showcased resilience and determination throughout the game. Keyshawn Hall emerged as a standout player for UCF, contributing significantly with 20 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. His performance was highlighted by an impressive field goal percentage of 46 percent and perfect accuracy from both the free throw line and beyond the arc.

Moustapha Thiam also made his presence felt on both ends of the court with 17 points, six rebounds, and an exceptional defensive effort that included three blocks. Darius Johnson added another layer of offensive firepower for UCF with 16 points and three assists.

Despite these individual efforts, UCF struggled with shooting efficiency overall. The team shot just 37 percent from field goals compared to BYU's more effective rate of 48 percent. The Knights did excel in free throw accuracy at an impressive rate of 84 percent but were unable to capitalize fully on this advantage.

BYU's balanced attack was led by their ability to distribute the ball effectively as evidenced by their total assist count standing at double that of UCF's (22 vs.10). The Cougars also capitalized on turnovers better than UCF did throughout this closely contested match-up.
