First Half

The first half saw the UCF Knights struggling to keep up with the Cyclones' offensive prowess. The Clones took an early lead, scoring 44 points compared to UCF's 26. Despite efforts from players like Riley Kugel and Jordan Burks, who contributed significantly with their scoring abilities, it was not enough to close the gap created by ISU's fast-paced play and effective shooting.

Second Half

In the second half, UCF attempted a comeback but found themselves outmatched by Iowa State's relentless defense and strategic plays. The Clones continued their dominance on both ends of the court, adding another 43 points while limiting UCF to just 31 points in this period. The Knights' defense struggled against ISU’s efficient ball movement and high shooting percentage.

Key Performances

Riley Kugel stood out for UCF with his consistent performance throughout both halves, contributing crucial points alongside Jordan Burks who also made significant contributions in rebounds and blocks. However, turnovers plagued their efforts as they accumulated a total of 19 turnovers during this matchup.

On Iowa State’s side, their ability to capitalize on fast breaks was evident as they scored numerous points off turnovers which proved pivotal in maintaining control over proceedings throughout all quarters played here today at Ames venue location itself!
