The UCLA Bruins, with a record of 0-0 before the game, faced off against the Washington Huskies at Alaska Airlines Arena. The final score read 94-77 in favor of the home team.

Washington Huskies VS UCLA Bruins

In a conference game marked by lead changes and ties, the Bruins put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell short against the Huskies. The first half ended with UCLA trailing slightly with 35 points to Washington's 44. Despite an improved offensive output in the second half, scoring an additional 42 points, it wasn't enough to overcome the Huskies' consistent performance.

UCLA showcased their ability to distribute the ball effectively throughout the game, tallying up 18 assists. Their shooting from inside was particularly notable as they made 22 out of their total 43 two-point attempts, resulting in a solid field goal percentage of fifty-one percent for two-pointers. From beyond the arc, they managed to sink seven three-pointers on twenty-two attempts which translated into thirty-two percent shooting from distance.

Defensively speaking, both teams were neck and neck with steals and blocks; UCLA recorded three steals and blocked five shots over Washington's two steals and five blocks. However, personal fouls were more frequent for UCLA as they committed twenty-two compared to seventeen by Washington.

On an individual level for UCLA players showed resilience under pressure; despite four turnovers across their roster – equaling that of their opponents – they maintained an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of four point five.

Rebounding was another area where both teams battled fiercely. The Bruins grabbed twenty-nine rebounds in total but were outdone by Washington's thirty-five rebounds which included a significant number on both ends of the court – defensive and offensive rebounds standing at twenty-seven and four respectively for Washington versus twenty-eight personal (twenty defensive) plus one team rebound for UCLA.

Free throw accuracy was high on both sides with UCLA making twelve free throws out of fifteen attempts (eighty percent), while Washington converted nineteen free throws from twenty-four attempts (seventy-nine percent).

The next challenge awaiting UCLA will be against the Washington State Cougars at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman on March 2nd at 4:00 PM Pacific Time. Fans can catch this upcoming contest live on Pac-12 Network as part of their regular sports programming schedule.
