UNLV Runnin' Rebels Set to Clash with Florida State Seminoles at Ocean Center

As the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Runnin' Rebels gear up for their next challenge against the Florida State Seminoles, fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be a thrilling encounter at the Ocean Center. The UNLV squad comes into this game with a mixed bag of recent performances that provide both hope and areas for improvement.

Florida State Seminoles VS UNLV Runnin' Rebels

In their last outing on November 18 against Pepperdine, UNLV showcased an offensive clinic, putting up 82 points with an impressive field goal percentage of 58. They dominated inside the paint scoring 50 points and showed exceptional accuracy from the free-throw line at 92 percent. However, they allowed Pepperdine to grab more rebounds (34 to UNLV's 24), which is an area they'll need to tighten up against a Florida State team known for its physicality.

The game before that saw UNLV secure a win over Stetson on November 12 with a scoreline of 71-55. Their defensive prowess was on full display as they held Stetson to just over 31 percent shooting from the field. The Runnin' Rebels also outrebounded their opponents by two and had an impressive assists turnover ratio of 3.4.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing in early November when Southern University managed to outscore them by putting up a whopping 85 points on November 9. Despite this setback, there were positive takeaways for UNLV; they fought back in the second half scoring an impressive 50 points and showed resilience that will be crucial going forward.

Looking ahead to their matchup with FSU, it's clear that rebounding will be key for UNLV if they want to control the game's pace and limit second-chance opportunities for their opponents. With FSU coming into this game after some strong performances of their own, expect them not only to challenge on the boards but also bring intensity on defense.

The upcoming battle is set not just as another game but as a proving ground where UNLV must demonstrate consistency in both ends of the court – converting high-percentage shots while stifling FSU’s offense through relentless defense and improved rebounding efforts.

Fans can catch all the action live from Daytona Beach at Ocean Center on November 20th at precisely half past five in Eastern Standard Time evening hours (5:30 PM EST). The broadcast will air nationally via CBS Sports Network channel number two hundred twenty-one (221).
