UNLV Runnin' Rebels Set to Host Wyoming Cowboys at Thomas & Mack Center

As the UNLV Runnin' Rebels gear up to face the Wyoming Cowboys at the Thomas & Mack Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Rebels have been on an impressive trajectory, showcasing their dominance in recent games with a particularly notable performance against Hofstra Pride on December 22nd. In that game, UNLV emerged victorious with a commanding 74-56 win, demonstrating their prowess both offensively and defensively.

The statistics from that game speak volumes about the potential of UNLV. With a field goal percentage of 48 and an even more impressive three-point shooting rate of 36 percent, they've proven their ability to score from all over the court. Their free throw accuracy was also stellar at 86 percent. But it wasn't just scoring where UNLV excelled; they dominated on defense as well, racking up seven blocks and four steals while maintaining an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.9.

Comparatively, in another recent outing against Creighton Bluejays on December 14th, UNLV scored an even higher total of points (79) while maintaining remarkable shooting efficiency – over half their two-point attempts found the net (56 percent), and they were lethal from beyond the arc (46 percent). This level of consistency is what fans have come to expect from this squad.

On the other side of the court stands Wyoming Cowboys who will undoubtedly bring their A-game as well. However, given UNLV's recent form and home-court advantage at Thomas & Mack Center – known for its electric atmosphere – it would take a significant effort from Wyoming to upset them.

Looking ahead to February 4th's clash under Las Vegas lights at 5:00 PM PST, one can't help but feel confident about UNLV's chances if they maintain their current form. The team has shown resilience and adaptability throughout this season which suggests that they are more than capable of handling whatever strategy Wyoming throws at them.
