Bulldogs Brace for Rebels' Onslaught at Save Mart Center

As the UNLV Runnin' Rebels gear up to face the Fresno State Bulldogs at the Save Mart Center, fans are abuzz with anticipation. The Rebels, coming off a string of impressive performances, look poised to continue their dominance on the court.

Fresno State Bulldogs VS UNLV Rebels

In their last outing on December 22nd against Hofstra's Pride, UNLV showcased a potent blend of offense and defense that led to a commanding 74-56 victory. Their field goal percentage stood at an impressive 48 percent while they shot an exceptional 86 percent from the free-throw line. The team also demonstrated remarkable efficiency in ball distribution with 19 assists and maintained control with only ten turnovers.

The defensive prowess of UNLV was equally notable as they amassed seven blocks and four steals, contributing to their fast break points and points off turnovers which were six and twelve respectively. This level of performance has become characteristic of this team's playstyle – aggressive on both ends of the floor.

Comparatively, Fresno State will have its work cut out for them if they wish to stifle UNLV's momentum. While not much is known about Fresno State's recent performances from the provided data, it is clear that any team facing UNLV must be wary of their ability to convert plays into points effectively.

UNLV’s resilience was also tested in a nail-biting double-overtime game against Saint Mary’s Gaels on December 17th where they narrowly lost by two points with a final scoreline reading 67-69 in favor of Saint Mary’s. Despite foul troubles leading to three players fouling out and shooting only 33 percent from field goals overall, UNLV fought valiantly till the end.

Earlier in December (14th), against Creighton Bluejays who held rank number eight at that time, UNLV emerged victorious with a scoreline reflecting their offensive firepower - winning by fifteen points (79-64). They shot an astounding 52 percent from field goals alongside converting nearly half (46 percent) their attempts from beyond the arc into valuable three-pointers.

The upcoming clash promises excitement as fans eagerly await whether Fresno State can disrupt UNLV’s rhythm or if the Rebels will continue riding high on their wave of success. With such compelling statistics backing them up coupled with sheer determination witnessed during close encounters this season; it seems likely that fans will witness another display of basketball excellence courtesy of UNLV Runnin' Rebels come February 15th at Save Mart Center.

Fans won't want to miss this showdown scheduled for an early tip-off at 8:00 PM PST; those unable to attend can catch all action live nationally on CBS Sports Network channel number two hundred twenty-one.
