The game was characterized by several lead changes and moments where both teams were tied, indicating a closely contested match. This comeback was fueled by an efficient offense and stout defense that limited opportunities for their opponents.

Jailen Bedford also made notable contributions with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Jeremiah Cherry added another layer of scoring with 13 points of his own.

Analyzing Team Efforts

On defense, UNLV matched Air Force's intensity by recording four blocks and four steals while drawing nineteen fouls which translated into numerous free throw opportunities. Air Force did not go down without a fight; they led by as much as eight points during one stretch of play thanks to their tenacious defense that resulted in ten steals and efficient three-point shooting (29 percent). However, it wasn't enough to counteract UNLV's aggressive playstyle in paint where they scored thirty-four points.
