First Half


The first half saw the Runnin' Rebels struggling to find their rhythm on both ends of the court. Despite efforts from players like Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn, who contributed with his defensive prowess by securing 3 steals and blocking a shot, UNLV managed only 22 points. The Lobos capitalized on their opportunities and led with a score of 41 points by halftime.


Second Half


In the second half, UNLV attempted to close the gap with increased offensive efforts. Howie Fleming Jr. showcased his playmaking abilities by dishing out 5 assists and grabbing rebounds that helped keep possessions alive for his team. However, despite these efforts and scoring contributions from Naas Cunningham who added crucial points off the bench, it was not enough to overcome New Mexico's relentless attack.
