First Half

The first half saw the Runnin' Rebels struggling to find their rhythm as they trailed with only 24 points compared to Grand Canyon's commanding 42. Despite efforts from key players like Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn, who contributed significantly throughout the match, UNLV found themselves unable to close the gap early on. The Antelopes capitalized on their opportunities, showcasing a strong offensive presence that kept them ahead.

Second Half

In an attempt to turn things around, UNLV came out stronger in the second half, adding 43 points to their tally. However, it wasn't enough to overcome Grand Canyon's lead. Howie Fleming Jr.'s performance was notable as he added valuable points and assists for his team. Yet, despite these efforts and a more aggressive approach from players like Tyrin Jones and Kimani Hamilton contributing defensively and offensively respectively, the Rebels couldn't bridge the deficit.

Grand Canyon maintained their momentum with effective shooting accuracy of over 50 percent from both two-point range and beyond the arc. Their defensive strategy also played a crucial role in limiting UNLV's scoring opportunities.

Key Performances

Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn emerged as a standout player for UNLV with his dynamic playmaking abilities contributing significantly across various facets of gameplay including scoring and defense. His performance was pivotal during critical moments but ultimately fell short against an equally determined opponent.

As fans look forward to future games featuring these teams again under different circumstances or venues such as Thomas & Mack Center where upcoming matches will take place; anticipation builds around how adjustments might influence outcomes next time around when facing Nevada Wolf Pack scheduled February 28th at home broadcasted live via CBS Sports Network starting promptly by evening hours (10:00 PM EDT).
