The USC Trojans have shown a pattern of robust offense and defense in their recent games. On December 10th, despite falling short against Long Beach State with a score of 79-84 in an overtime nail-biter, the Trojans demonstrated their ability to put up big numbers during regulation time. They managed to score 45 points in the first half and showed resilience by forcing overtime. Their defensive prowess was evident with 13 steals and they capitalized on turnovers scoring 29 points off them.

Earlier, on December 3rd against Gonzaga Bulldogs – ranked number 11 at that time – USC scored an impressive 76 points. Although they lost that game as well, their two-point field goal percentage stood out at nearly 57 percent and they dominated inside with a whopping 46 points in the paint.

However, it was their performance against Eastern Washington Eagles on November 30th that truly showcased what this team is capable of when firing on all cylinders. The Trojans erupted for an astounding total of 106 points while shooting over half from both field goal range (57 percent) and beyond the arc (50 percent). Their ball movement was exceptional as evidenced by their assist-to-turnover ratio which was over three times higher than Eastern Washington’s.

On the other side of court stands Alabama State Hornets who will have home-court advantage this time around. While specific data for their past games isn't provided here, it's common knowledge that playing at home can provide teams with an extra boost due to familiar surroundings and fan support.

Given these insights into USC’s recent performances – high-scoring potential but also some defensive lapses leading to close losses – fans should expect them to come out aggressively trying to secure a win before heading into holiday break. It will be crucial for them not only maintain offensive efficiency but also tighten up defensively if they want to avoid another close loss like those experienced earlier this month.

Trojan enthusiasts should mark their calendars for December 20th when these two teams clash under bright lights of Dunn-Oliver Acadome at Montgomery, AL starting from midnight EST onwards. This exciting matchup will be available for streaming via ESPN+, ensuring fans won’t miss any action from wherever they may be cheering.
