Clash at Desert Financial Arena: USC Trojans Prepare to Face Arizona State Sun Devils

As the University of Southern California Trojans gear up for their next challenge against the Arizona State Sun Devils at Desert Financial Arena, fans are anticipating a game that could very well be a defining moment in their season. The USC Trojans have shown resilience and strategic prowess in their past games, which may give them an edge as they head into this upcoming contest.

USC Trojans VS Arizona State Sun Devils

Looking back at the December 20th match against Alabama State Hornets, the Trojans dominated with a convincing 79-59 victory. Their impressive rebounding performance, grabbing 52 boards including 12 offensive rebounds, was pivotal to controlling the game's tempo. Moreover, with a solid shooting percentage from beyond the arc at 37 percent and maintaining a free throw accuracy of 75 percent, it's evident that USC has players who can score both inside and out.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for USC; they faced challenges during their December 17th encounter with Auburn Tigers where they fell short by scoring only 75 points to Auburn's commanding 91 points. The loss highlighted areas for improvement such as ball handling – turnovers were an issue as they recorded more giveaways (15) than assists (9). This is something that will need tightening up if they are to overcome ASU.

The most recent home game on December 10th against Long Beach State Beach saw the Trojans push through to overtime but ultimately lose by five points. Despite this setback, there were positive takeaways including an aggressive defense leading to thirteen steals and converting turnovers into fast break opportunities totaling fifteen points.

The key takeaway from these performances is that while USC has demonstrated strong defensive capabilities and rebounding strength – crucial factors in winning basketball games – consistency on offense remains an area requiring attention. Ball security and shot selection will be critical components if they wish to emerge victorious over ASU.

USC fans should expect their team to come out focused on reducing turnovers while continuing their aggressive play on defense and glasswork. If executed correctly, these aspects could very well tilt the scales in favor of USC despite playing away from home turf.

Trojan enthusiasts should mark their calendars for January 20th when tip-off is set for noon local time at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe. For those unable to attend in person, coverage of this thrilling matchup will be broadcast nationally on FOX TV network – ensuring no one misses out on what promises to be an enthralling encounter between two determined collegiate teams.
