Can the USC Trojans Dominate at Galen Center Against Colorado Buffaloes?

As the USC Trojans gear up to host the Colorado Buffaloes at the Galen Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The upcoming clash promises to be a spectacle, and if recent performances are anything to go by, USC is poised for a commanding display.

The Trojans have shown remarkable resilience and skill in their past games. On December 20th against Alabama State Hornets, they secured a convincing 79-59 victory. Their offense was fluid, racking up 16 assists while maintaining an impressive rebounding edge with 52 total rebounds. This kind of performance is indicative of a team that knows how to control the paint and capitalize on second-chance points.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for USC; their encounter with Auburn Tigers on December 17th exposed some defensive frailties as they succumbed to a high-scoring affair, losing 75-91. Despite this setback, there were positives to draw from – notably their free throw accuracy at an impressive 81 percent and maintaining a solid two-point field goal percentage of 44 percent.

The most telling game came on December 10th when USC faced Long Beach State Beach in an overtime thriller at home. Although they fell short by five points in overtime ending at 79-84, the Trojans showcased their fighting spirit. They dominated offensive rebounds with sixteen grabs leading to thirteen second-chance points – evidence of their tenacity under pressure.

USC's ability to steal possession has been another highlight; against Long Beach State alone they managed thirteen steals contributing significantly towards twenty-nine points off turnovers. This aggressive defense could be pivotal against Colorado Buffaloes who will need to be wary of turnovers when facing such an assertive opponent.

Looking ahead towards February's matchup against COLO, it's clear that if USC can harness their strengths – particularly in rebounding and capitalizing on turnovers – while tightening up defensively from beyond the arc where they've shown vulnerability (23 percent three-point shooting against Long Beach State), then fans can expect them not just compete but potentially dominate proceedings.

Trojan supporters should mark their calendars for February 18th when these two teams face off at Los Angeles' Galen Center starting at 7:00 PM PST (3:00 AM GMT). The game will be nationally broadcasted on ESPN2 channel number two hundred nine for those who wish to catch every moment live from wherever they are.
